In this work, X E is assumed to a (n -1) x n rectangular matrix and a theorem about\nits determinant is deduced . It is found that with the\nincrease of matrix order, the calculation time of determinants of this type of matrix with this\ntheorem is relatively less than that by using original definition.

The radioactive nuclei accumulation of different kinds of construction components used in buildings in the northern area of Jordan, were analyzed using a high purity germanium detector (HPGe). Accumulation of radioactive nuclei of (238U92, 235U92, 232Th90, 226Ra88 and 40K19) in Bq.kg-1 were found in ranges (1.7-66.1, 0.02-1.7, 0.3-11, 1.22-65.8 and 8.1-69.4) respectively. The mean values of the radium equivalent activities (Req), gamma absorption dose rate and effective dose of absorption per year were calculated. Our results were analyzed and compared with other results performed in other countries. Results are, with one exception, in accordance with the recommended world values .

Blind source separation (BSS) is a research hotspot in the field of signal processing. This scheme is widely applied to\nseparate a group of source signals from a given set of observations or mixed signals. In the present study, the Savitzky-Golay\nfilter is applied to smooth the mixed signals, adopt a simplified cost function based on the signal to noise ratio (SNR) and obtain\nthe demixing matrix accordingly. To this end, the generalized eigenvalue problem is solved without conventional iterative\nmethods. It is founded that the proposed algorithm has a simple structure and can be easily implemented in diverse problems.\nThe obtained results demonstrate the good performance of the proposed model for separating audio signals in cases with high\nsignal to noise ratios.

Background: Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) is a global health emergency. Every year, thousands of individuals suffer from HCV. HCV if not treated, may manifest severe hepatic complications, many of which have fatal outcomes. Various therapeutic strategies are currently used to eradicate the virus from the patient�s body. Treatment of the HCV patient depends largely on the genomic typing. The aim of the present study is to assess the comparison between Sofosbuvir and Peg-Interferon alpha in patients diagnosed with HCV RNA genotype 3a. Methodology: A prospective case cohort study has been conducted in District Headquarter Hospital, Sargodha, Pakistan. Patients diagnosed with HCV genotype 3a were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into 2 groups. Group I was assigned Sofosbuvir 400 mg and group II Peg-Interferon alpha 3 million units. Both the groups were also administered ribavirin. The study was conducted for a period of 24 weeks and efficacy was determined by the decline in the viral RNA load. Results: Each group had 50 patients of which majority were males. Compared to males, females had higher viral RNA load. However, the efficacy of both the treatment drugs was similar in both the genders. Comparatively, Sofosbuvir group showed better efficacy than Peg-Interferon group with significant difference in mean HCV RNA at the end of the study (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Although, Sofosbuvir and PEG-Interferon both demonstrated efficacy in reducing the viral RNA load, Sofosbuvir is more efficacious and better tolerated in the management of HCV RNA genotype 3a infection.

Summary: This research deals with the study of objective criminal protection of the child\'s right to life, and this study aimed to shed light on Bahraini legislation and comparison and the extent of its provision to protect the child from abuse of his right to life, and this study relied on a descriptive comparative approach that facilitates the assimilation of information for everyone who reads it. \nThe study concluded: All legislations assigned the child special protection for his right to life, which is stipulated in many international conventions. Children are the true wealth and the first nucleus for building the future.

The antioxidants can be used for protective in oxidative stress that is one of the important mechanisms of 2-methoxyethanol (2-ME)-induced testis toxicity. The current study was carried out to evaluate The protective effect of xanthone via Malondialdehyde (MDA) and Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) expression on mice Sertoli cell induced by 2-Methoxyethanol on the Sertoli cell number induced by 2-ME in mice. Methods: The study used 35 male mice divided into 5 groups: control group (mice were given daily with water purified by distillation); 2-ME group (mice were given daily with 2-ME 200 mg/kg BW orally once in a day for 35 days); and the treatment group ( mice were given the xanthone 60 mg, 120 mg, and 240 mg/kg BW orally once in a day for 38 days, and on the 3th day, were given 2-ME 200 mg/kg BW one hour after the xanthone administration). After 38 days, the testis tissues were collected to evaluate the histological of Sertoli cell number, and also evaluated the immunohistochemical of MDA and SOD expression on Sertoli cell. Results: The result showed that 2-ME administration significantly increased MDA expression, and decreased both SOD expression and the number of Sertoli cells. However, the treatment of xanthone significantly decreased MDA expression, and increased the expression of SOD of the Sertoli cell in the immunohistochemical. Xanthone also significantly increased the Sertoli cell number in histopathological evaluation. Conclusion: In conclusion, From the results of this study demonstrated that xanthone is able to protect Sertoli cell number in mice treated with 2-ME through decreasing MDA and increasing SOD

The quality of services has become one of the elements for success in institutions in general and financial institutions in particular, and for this reason many of these institutions have sought to find ways to improve the quality of these services, including the use of technological tools in general, and information systems in particular. For this reason, this research paper studies the role of information systems effectiveness in improving and measuring the quality of services in ABC bank in Jordan. To be able to measure the effectiveness of information systems, a set of factors used in previous studies was used in this research and they were: Systems quality, Information quality, Use and User satisfaction. As for the independent factor in this study, it was the banking quality services; and in order to be able to measure it, a previous studies was used to measure the quality of service such as service environment, interaction quality, empathy and reliability. The questioners was designed to analyse these factors and the study found a significant impact of information systems effectiveness factors with all its factors on the banking quality unless the impact of quality of information on the quality of banking services.

Background: Lichen planus (LP) carries the increased risk of cardiovascular events as it is a chronic inflammatory disease. Arrythmias are the main risk factors especially in terms of cardiovascular events. We aimed in this study to determine in the patients with LP the relationship between total atrial conduction time, P-wave dispersion and the left atrium global strain, which are the predictors of atrial arrythmias most commonly affecting the society. \nMethods: 40 patients as a control group and 40 patients with lichen planus were included in this study. Conventional 2D echocardiography, assessment of left atrial function has been performed by measuring volumes. The average peak values of left atrial strain during the left ventricular systole were measured (LAGLS). Total atrial conduction time (TACT) values were assessed by 2D tissue doppler imaging. \nResults: The global peak systolic LA myocardium strain during the left ventricular systole (LAGLSRs) and the global peak negative LA myocardial strain rate during the early ventricular diastole (LAGLSRe) values were significantly lower in the patients with LP in proportion to the control according to the strain measurements (1.7±0.07 vs 1.9±0.1 % p=0,001; 1.23±0.04 vs 1.2±0.08 s-1 p=0,001 ) respectively. When considered in terms of the atrial conduction features, total atrial conduction time (TACT) value was found significantly longer (102.6±6.3 ms) in the patients with LP in proportion to the control group (96.3±5.3 ms. p=0,001). \nConclusions: Our study demonstrated that the subclinical cardiac involvement in LP could be predicted by the prolonged TACT and the impaired left atrial myocardial deformation values

This work presents the 70V/18V non-isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter for PV applications. The open loop simulation analysis of the converter with step up and step down mode is presented using MATLAB/SIMULINK software. Finally, the prototype model of the converter is developed and tested in the laboratory. This converter has the advantages of high voltage gain, high step up/step down voltage conversion ratio, maximum conversion efficiency, having less number of switches and Low voltage stress across switches.

The job-shop scheduling issues (JSSPs) has been solving by many algorithms in the last few decades, including traditional type techniques.in this paper, a hybrid framework which is based on a combination of Grey Wolf-Chicken Swarm Optimization is proposed in order to reduce maximum completion time. The GWO algorithm is modified and hybridized in the implementation to optimize the search procedure and to solve the multi-objective flexible job shop scheduling issues (FJSSP). To establish the effectiveness of GWO and efficiency of the hybrid algorithm, some problems of different scales are used. The results show that proposed hybrid Grey Wolf-Chicken Swarm Optimization algorithm can accomplish good optimization results in terms various iteration levels of both optimization accuracy and robustness also easily applied in real industrial conditions and for large size problems. proposed method consumes 3.86s for 1000 iteration compared with GA (28.72s) and ACO (26.06s), proposed method was very less time period and cost for 6 machines to complete 16 jobs.

El papel que juegan las bibliotecas en la formación académica de los estudiantes universitarios de nuestro país, comienza a tener en la actualidad una importancia central en las líneas de investigación de diversas instituciones de educación superior y entre los especialistas e investigadores, no solamente de la disciplina de la Bibliotecología sino también de otros campos del saber enriqueciendo y complementando con ello, los diversos enfoques teóricos-metodológicos bajo los cuales se ha abordado esta temática. Llevados de este interés, el presente artículo se deriva de una reciente investigación realizada en estudiantes de nuevo ingreso en dos universidades del estado de Tabasco, México, una de carácter pública y otra privada con el objetivo de conocer la relevancia e impacto que tienen las bibliotecas en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje de la comunidad universitaria.

In the current semiconductor technology evolution, reliability is a major concern especially for the applications like banking, defense, medical, etc. To enhance the reliability, redundancy techniques are most commonly used by means of either in hardware, software, time or information. Once the correctly designed circuit is manufactured, there must a testing procedure to check there are no flaws. Here, the importance of hardware redundancy to enhance the reliability and testing to verify the designs are explored. This study mainly deals with exhaustive single stuck-at fault coverage of majority voters (MV) of triple modular redundancy (TMR) configuration. In total, there are eight different majority voters of TMR configuration are analyzed and a minimal test set is obtained in each voter circuits. In this paper, theoretical study conveys that the majority voter circuits namely MV4, MV5, MV5, MV6, MV7 and MV8 produce a minimal test covering all faults.
