Cement is the most widely used building material and construction activities could not possible without it. The cement industry facing the depletion in natural resources and global greenhouse gas emissions (carbon dioxide emissions) related issues. For sustainable development, striving for the reduction in carbon dioxide emissions and constraints on natural resources cause the necessitate requirement of sustainable alternatives as substitutes of traditional raw materials. Therefore, a current study has been carried out to use sewage sludge (locally available waste material) and carbide lime sludge (CLS) in construction as recycled fines (RF) which are obtained from sewage sludge in the form of ash (SSA) after its incineration and CLS as a byproduct of acetylene industry respectively. The effects of partial replacement of OPC using RF on compressive strength and split tensile strength after the 3rd, 7th and 28th day have been evaluated. The outcome from the study shows that the elevating replacements of RF up to 70% can be used in mortar as per IS: 2250 (2000) in structural applications. Utilization of RF up to 70% would be possible with OPC as it indicates an acceptable level of compressive strength of mortar, conservation of depleting natural reserves, saving in thermal and electrical energy besides emissions reduction of carbon dioxide.

This paper deals with pulsed mode laser beam welding (LBW) on 2 mm thick Ti-6Al-4V alloy sheets. ANSYS Fluent 16.0 version is utilized to develop a generic model with Vc++ code. The model is validated with test results. The optimal LBW parameters are obtained by maximizing the depth of penetration (DP) and minimizing the weld bead width (BW). To minimise the number of numerical simulations, Taguchi approach is adopted. The LBW parameters considered are pulse frequency, pulse width and welding speed,the absorbed power is kept as constant. The performance indicators are width of fusion zone, depth of penetration, heat affected zone and maximum temperature. The optimal LBW parameters are found to be dependent onthe process indicators. A simple reliable modified Taguchi approach is followed to get a set of optimal LBW parameters for maximum DP and minimum BW.

Blind source separation (BSS) is a research hot topic in signal processing because itaims to separate a set of source signals from a given set of observed or mixed signals. In thispaper, we use Gaussian filter to smooth the mixed signals, adopt a simplified cost functionbased on signal to noise ratio (SNR) and obtain the demixing matrix by resolving thegeneralized eigenvalue problem without any iterations. The model of the proposed algorithm issimple and easy to implement. The simulation results in visible light communication (VLC)show the good performance of the algorithm at high signal to noise ratio cases.

Abstract \nThe provisions for removing Communism in real estate contained in the Jordanian Real Estate Law No. (13) of 2019 are a new regulation to remove Communism in real estate in Jordan, and the researcher has divided the study into two topics: the first on removing Communism by partners as behavior that transfers ownership and the second: on removing Communism by division. This study comes to determine the new provisions and procedures for removing Communism in the property through the method of the committee to remove the Communism in the real estate, and the study concluded that the law allowed the majority in the real estate to request disposition to remove the Communism of the property as well as canceled the judicial division procedure and is satisfied with appealing the decision of the committee to remove the Communism in the property in front of the court of the first instance. The study came out with recommendations, including the need to amend the texts related to the application to dispose of the real estate in a way that affects the essence of the right of ownership and to allow the appeal of the decision of the Court of First Instance and not to deprive the partners of a degree of litigation by the general rules.

Serial industrial robots can be classified according to several criteria, the most important being: the number of mobility degrees or independent movements, the number of independent kinematic axis, the shape of the workspace, the value of the useful load, the precision of touching a predetermined point, etc. Among these criteria, the number of degrees of mobility directly determines the structure of the kinematic chain corresponding to the robot and implicitly its construction, functionality and utility. In this paper, we define the three classes of industrial serial robots according to the degree of mobility: the class of serial industrial robots of minimum configuration, the class of redundant serial industrial robots and the class of hyper-redundant serial industrial robots. For each class of serial industrial robots the structural synthesis method is presented and representative examples of structures are given. For two versions of redundant chain workspaces are represented, first sequentially, successively for each coupling, starting with the first coupling from the kinematic chain base and then the workspace is represented totally by overlapping workspaces obtained for each coupling. We present the direct kinematics analysis for kinematic chain with 6 and 8 axis using the homogeneous operators’ method too.

This study evaluates the role of a requirements engineer in a software development team, through the description of the main personality traits associated with the task. For this, an analysis of the existing literature on this topic was carried out and guidelines were given, based on the expert opinion and experience of the authors the academic and manufacturing sectors. In order to collect the necessary information, a psychometric test was applied to 59 people who work in software development companies, located in the centre of Colombia. The information was used to conduct a comparative study between the degree of effectiveness with which software development teams are formed in the said companies and the software engineers\' profiles proposed in the study. The results show that, from the software development companies analysed, approximately 53% of the staff hired as requirements engineers were chosen adequately, while 47% of those selected could perform optimally in other roles. Conducting an adequate staff selection based on the analysis of the personality traits of the individual could improve the performance and competitiveness of the team and, indirectly, the quality of the product developed. At the same time, this investigation allowed the validation of the pertinence and usefulness of the psychometric instruments as well as the pertinence of the characteristics for the profile of the requirements engineer proposed as a reference.

With the Internet expanding faster and the mind- boggling flow of data into the Internet, data sifting tech- niques such as Recommender Systems have become comprehensive. Collaborative -Filtering (CF) based Recommender systems are supposed to perform well in domains where data is sparse. However, the un- common information or anomalies, termed as outliers must be removed to get better accuracy. Comparison of the three outlier detection techniques, the distance- based outlier, density- based outliers and subspace outliers show that the density- based outliers outperforms the others in terms of accuracy.

Realising improved students‘ retention is critical to achieving institutional objectives of universities. In Nigeria, many private universities are recording high turnover in form of transfers from marketing department to other cognate departments. However, students’ disposition to marketing as a course of study has not been well considered. Most marketing education studies have focused mainly on the teaching methodologies without giving due consideration to the choice factor that shape enrolment into this vital field of study. The study examined the effect of Market orientation on students’ retention in B.Sc. Marketing degree programmes in selected Nigerian private universities. Cross-sectional survey research design was adopted in this study. The population consisted of 201 BSc undergraduate students from six selected private universities in Nigeria. Total enumeration was employed and all the undergraduate marketing students of the six selected private universities were respondents for this work. A structured questionnaire was adapted and validated. The Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient for the constructs ranged from 0.906 to 0.930. The response rate of 97.5 % was achieved for this study. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings revealed that marketing orientation had significant effect on students’ retention in B.Sc. Marketing degree programmes (R2 = .027, β = 0.189, t = 2.298, p<0.05).This study concluded that marketing orientation had significant effect on student retention in BSc Marketing degree programmes in selected private universities in Nigeria. The study recommended that universities and marketing professional associations should commit significant resources to organising career fairs, workshops, essay competitions and expert series to create public awareness on the importance of marketing as a career and the foundational role the profession plays in profit and non-profit organisations.

This study aimed to produce rabbit anti-pig polyclonal antibodies, in an attempt to develop a low cost, rapid, reliable, and self-administered test for pork adulteration in meat products. The pig antigen for the antibody production was obtained by the treatment of pig serum using 10% caprylic acid. Experimental immunization of rabbits using the pig antigen demonstrated that antibodies were detectable on day 56 post-initial immunization. The antibodies were capable of detecting pork juice at as low as 1% dilution. Further, the antibodies reacted specifically to pork amongst juices of pork, beef, lamb, goat, duck, and catfish meats species tested. This study provides an extended knowledge for the development of a low cost, rapid and self-administered test for pork adulteration in meat products.

Oxidative stress has a very important role in the mechanism of action of 2-ME in inducing the testicular damage. The xanthones have a very strong antioxidant effect, therefore is needed research to evaluated the mechanism underlying the protective effect of antioxidant xanthone on 2-Methoxyethanol-decreased number of Leydig cell on mice. The research used 35 male mice consist of 5 groups: control group (mice were administrated daily with water purified ); 2-ME group (mice were administrated once in a day with 2-ME 200 mg/kg BW orally for 35 days); and the xanthone group ( mice were administrated the xanthone 60 mg, 120 mg, and 240 mg/kg BW once in a day orally for 38 days, and on the 3rd day, were administrated 2-ME 200 mg/kg BW one hour after given the xanthone). After 38 days, the testis tissues were collected to evaluate the immunohistochemical of the expression of malondialdehyde (MDA), Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) and Glutathione Peroxidase (GPx)expression in Leydig cell. Testis tissue was also taken to histological evaluations of Leydig cell number. The immunohistochemical evaluation showed that 2-ME administration significantly increased the expression of MDA and decreased SOD and GPx expression in Leydig cell. The histopathological evaluations showed that 2-ME also significantly decreased number of Leydig cell. However, administration of xanthone significantly decreased the expression of MDA and increased SOD and GPx expression on leydig cell. Xanthone significantly increased Leydig cell number on histopathological evaluation. In the results of research can be concluded that xanthone as antioxidant agent is able to increase number of Leydig cell on mice treated with 2-ME through decreased MDA expression, and increased SOD and GPx expression.

This research aimed was to know whether fermented garlic (Allium sativum L.) extract could protect spermatogenic and Sertoli cells of mice (Mus musculus) exposed to heat. Mice were exposed to a temperature of 40�C, 45 minutes daily, for 54 days. This study used 25 mice, which were divided equally into five groups. C(-), the negative control group was not exposed to heat and only given distilled water. C(+), the positive control group was exposed to heat and given distilled water. T1, T2, T3 were given fermented garlic extract with doses of 125, 250, and 500 mg/kg BW, respectively 5 minutes after heat exposure. All of the treatments were given orally. The observations showed significant different (p<0.05) in all variables. Results showed a significant difference in spermatogenic and Sertoli cell between C(-) and C(+). C(-) and T2 showed unsignificant differences in spermatogenic and Sertoli cells. It could be concluded that giving fermented garlic extract (Allium sativum L.) could protect spermatogenic and Sertoli cells of mice (Mus musculus) exposed to heat.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the ability of L-carnitine alone or with other antioxidants to improve myocardial dysfunction in septic rats. Sepsis was induced by administering lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to the animals, which were being treated daily with L-carnitine alone or with coenzyme-Q10 or α-lipoic acid as well as their mixture for two weeks after three days of sepsis induced.\nSixty adult male albino rats were employed in this work which was included two experiments. In the first experiment, fifteen rats were injected i.p with saline solution (control group). The septic rats group (45 rats) was injected i.p with a single dose of LPS. After three days of LPS injection, five rats from each previous group were taken to compare the alterations in the physiological and biochemical parameters.\nIn the second experiment (50 rats), five comparisons were made between 10 control and 40 septic rats. The septic rat subgroups were treated daily with L-carnitine alone with coenzyme-Q10 or/and α-lipoic acid for one and two weeks.\nThe obtained data revealed remarkable changes in all studied parameters of septic rats than those in control ones. When septic rat groups were treated with these antioxidants for one or two weeks a considerable amelioration effects in all studied parameters were pronounced dependent on time of treatment and certain mechanisms which were discussed according to available recent researches.
