The objective of this research is the valorization of calcined sediment from the Fergoug dam (western Algeria) in sustainable concrete production exposed to different level temperatures. For this purpose, the combination of calcined sediment and steel fiber in concrete is to contribute to economical formulations and has a significant impact on the mechanical performance. Moreover, after calcination at 750 C calcined sediment was used as a replacement for the cement with different levels of 0%, 8% and 12% by cement weight and steel fiber dosages of 0%, 0.5%, and 1% by concrete volume were investigated on compressive strength at the age of 28 days with different temperature 20 C, 400 C, 500 C and 800 C in the furnace. The experimental result indicates that the combination of calcined sediment and fibre significantly improves properties of concrete, the optimum dosages of 8% of calcined sediment and 1% of steel fiber could improve compressive strength before and after heating. Beyond 500C, the mechanical properties decreased rapidly. The inclusion of calcined sediment with or without fiber has shown the positive role in the concrete matrix on the extreme temperatures.
In this paper, the finite element software ANSYS is employed to analyze the response (moment-curvature and ovalization-curvature relationships) of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy round-hole tubes (6061-RHTs) with different hole diameters (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 mm) subjected to cyclic bending with different curvature ratios (-1.0, -0.5, 0.0 and +0.5). The curvature ratio is the minimum curvature divides by the maximum curvature. From the experimental results [1], it can be observed that the moment-curvature relationship depicts a stable loop from the first cycle with a curvature ratio of -1.0. However, the moment-curvature relationship gradually drops and becomes stable after a few cycles with curvature ratios of -0.5, 0.0 and +0.5. The hole diameter has little effect on the above behavior. The ovalization-curvature relationship depicts a ratcheting and increasing manner as the number of cycles increases for all curvature ratios. The hole diameter or curvature ratio has a strong influence on the above behavior. In addition, a larger hole diameter or a larger curvature ratio leads to a larger ovalization. Finally, by comparison of the ANSYS simulation and the experimental finding [1], it can be found that the finite element ANSYS can properly simulate the experimental data.
We have developed a novel system of organic spiro-heterocyclic compounds:like diazaspiro-[5.5]undec-8-ene and oxaspiro[bicyclo[2,2,1]heptane-2,1-cyclohexane]dione system with the reaction of Diels-Alder catalyzed with TiCl4 in high regio and stereo-selective way and excellent yield. Initially, we developed different dienophiles and confirmed their structures by spectroscopic methods, 1H NMR, 13C-NMR.then we studied the mechanistic and stereo-chemical action of the various dienophiles concerning the dienes. In schizophrenic brain, an increased level of norepinephrine and decreased level of met-enkephalin were detected. The pathogenic significance of these factors is unknown. The present study assessed the influence of the combination of the factors on serotonergic 2A (5-HT2A ) receptors that are possibly related to the development of hallucinations. The experiments were conducted on male Wistar rats, the decrease in brain enkephalinergic activity was simulated by injections of naloxone, frequency of head twitched was used as an index of 5-HT2A receptor activity. It was found that NE (i.c.v.) and met-enkephalin (i.p.) alone have no behavioral effects; however, the combination of the drugs initiated distinct head twitch response. The combination effect was reversed by MDL 100907, an antagonist of 5-HT2A receptors, and clonidine, an agonist of α2-adrenoceptors. These findings may provide novel insight into the mechanism of 5-HT2A-receptor-mediated processes. In light of the presented data, simultaneous impact on α- and opioid δ/µ- receptors might be an approach for therapy of schizophrenic hallucinations.
Slope stability is one of the major concerns and popular research topics in geotechnical in the design of backfill, dikes of dams, etc. The new techniques using for treating landslides are multiple, among them, the use of piles anti-sliding and the geosynthetic-reinforced embankment. In this context, we present two cases of a landslide that occurred on the highway East-West of Algeria, at the section of Tlemcen. The first event concerns the landslide occurred on July 14th 2009 , retrospectively registered, where two lines of cracks were found on the roadway at the kilometer point PK110+500 and the treatment solution adapted is the embankment reinforced with layers of geotextiles, while the second case concerns the landslide occurred on 2nd March 2014, retrospectively registered, between Pk52+040 ~ 220 where the treatment solution is the use of anti-sliding piles. The study of stability analysis of this two landslides was carried out, where a numerical models are developed using Plaxis 2D software, under static and dynamic loads and highlights that these solutions are advantageous and efficient which is represented in the paper in terms of different parameters.
Introduction: Salmonella is an important food-borne pathogen in humans. Strains of Salmonella spp. that producing extended-spectrum β-Lactamases have become a concern in medicine regarding both antimicrobial treatment and infection control program. The objective of this study was detection of ESBL (TEM, SHV and CTX-M) genes and clas I, II and III Integrons in the Salmonella spp., isolated from pediatric patients in Tehran, Iran.\nMaterials and Methods: In the present study, we obtained 405 non-duplicative stool samples from pediatric cases in Tehran, Iran. Antibacterial susceptibility was determined by the disk diffusion and ESBL phenotype was confirmed by the double disk synergy test. M-PCRs were conducted using the DNA amplification for detection of ESBLs (TEM, CTX-M and SHV) and int (I, II, III) genes.\nResults: Out of 405 stool samples, 54 (13.4%) Salmonella were obtained. The highest resistance rate were related to the NA (51%), followed by SXT (50%), CTX (46%), AK (36%), and CHL (20%). DDST was conducted for all tested isolates and 7 (12.9%) Salmonella spp., showed that ESBL phenotype. Molecular analysis of ESBLs genes showed, 5 (9.3 %) of isolates were carried blaTEM-1 which belonged to the S. infantis and S. typhimurium. Three (5.5%) non-typeable isolates and 2 S. typhimurium were positive for the CTX-M gene. The prevalence of different classes of integrons showed that 23 (42.5%) isolates carried the integrase (int) gene. \nConclusion: This study demonstrates the predominant presence of the TEM and CTX-M genes in the Salmonella. So, class I integrons were more prevalent than class II and III in Salmonella isolates. They can transmit to bacteria of this genus or even other genera of enteric bacteria.
Introduction: Although chronic ankle instability (CAI) is a condition characterized by numerous \nankle sprains and the recurring sensation of ankle instability, which result in activity limitations and \nparticipation restrictions, repetition based balance- training protocols may improve the deficits often \nassociated with CAI. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of repetition based \nbalance- training protocols on movement control, balance and performance in females with CAI.\nMethods: A total of 30 female physically healthy young adults (age= 26.9± 2.77 years, height= \n172.3± 6.13 cm, weight= 70.21± 6.33 kg, body mass index= 22.14± 1.9) were selected for this study\nand divided into control and experimental groups. Before and after the intervention, participants \nwere pretested by completing the Mischiati (2015) test for movement control, Y balance test for \nbalance and the Figure-8 hop and triple- crossover hop for performance. We conducted paired and \nsample t tests on any significant findings.\nResults: The repetition- based balance protocol group improved the movement control (P=0.004), \nbalance (P=0.006) and the performance (Figure-8 hop (P=0.001) and triple- crossover hop \n(P=0.003)). \nConclusion: Despite some limitation, the findings clearly support the use of repetition- based \nbalance training exercises to improve movement control and performance in females with CAI. \nThus, future researchers should consider not only larger sample sizes but also longer- duration \ntraining programs to ensure the presence of notable adaptations in sensorimotor control that can.
The sample of the study was formed using simple random sampling, ranked set sampling, extreme ranked set sampling and median ranked set sampling. At the end of this process, the researcher created Hotelling’s T2 control charts, a multivariate statistical process control method. The performances of the sampling methods were compared to one another using these control charts. A simulation was performed to see the average run-length values for Hotelling’s T2 control charts, and these findings were also used for the comparison of the sampling performances.\nAt the end of the study, the researcher formed a sample using median ranked set sampling and created the Hotelling’s T2 control chart. As a result of this operation, the researcher found that there was an out-of-control signal in the process, while there was no such signal in other sampling methods. When the average run-length values obtained from Hotelling’s T2 control charts were compared, it was seen that a shift in the process was detected by the ranked set sampling earlier, when compared to other sampling methods.

In this study the Level Safety system is reviewed which is important in production activities in oil and gas plant. Process safety should be paid attention especially to high pressure study objects such as gas scrubber. In this study, a risk assessment and hazard analysis can be performed on the gas scrubber. The magnitude of the risks and dangers must be balanced with the security system stated with the (SIS) safety integrity level. Risk of gas scrubber system is analyzed and hazard with HAZOP method, SIL security level is calculated through LOPA (Layer of Protection Analysis) method. Based on research conducted, gas scrubber has a high category hazard risk on components with tag number; PT-222, PT-221, and FT-221. The safety level of gas scrubber is classified as SIL 0, further recommended by adding BPCS and ALARM to the system.
The objective was to determine the chemical composition and Fourier Transform Infrartd Spectroscopy (FTIR) in extracts of guava leaves (Psidium guajava) harvested in june and october 2016 in the municipality of Apozol, Zacatecas, Mexico. The extracts were prepared with 70% ethanol. Qualitative tests (chemical profile), quantitative tests (chemical composition by gas chromatography (GC)) and chemical structure were carried out using FTIR, the graphs were performed in the OriginPro 8 statistical software. In the extracts the presence of unsaturation’s, esters, carbohydrates, saponins and flavonoids. By GC the presence of carvacrol and thymol were determined in the two extracts. For FTIR, it was observed that frequencies 1052 cm-1 (C-O tension vibration), 1089 cm-1 (C-O tension vibration), 1389 cm-1 (C-H deformation), 1647 cm-1 (ring of aldehydes C=O), 2893 cm-1 (symmetrical and asymmetric vibrations of the aliphatic CH3 group), 2975 cm-1 y 3381 cm-1 (hydroxyl groups (O-H)) characteristic of the extracts of guava leaves. A high correlation was found between extract A and quercetin standard (R = 0.7398), extract A and carvacrol standard (R = 0.0.6581), this may be due to the presence of the aromatic rings of both extract and the carvacrol and quercetin standards. The FTIR spectral regions proved to be useful for the determination of chemical structures in the extracts of guava leaves. Therefore, the use of this methodology in the evaluation of the chemical structure of the extracts us was recommended.
