Growth and leaves production from Pittocaulon praecox (Asteraceae) were compared in two sites with different opening vegetation degree, measuring number and length of leaves during annual cycle, adding branch growth and leaves production biomass. We found that trees in higher covered site (closed) produced more leaves amount and are taller than the recorded in lower covered site (open). Differences can be related with the solar radiation incidence, environmental and soil humidite and herbivorous and edaphic microarthopods acidity, that are different in each site. We conclude that vegetation cover have influence in the growth and production of leaves of P. praecox.

Collembola family abundance from three localities with different land-use types were studied: forest, agroforestry, grassland and corn crop, all located in the Santa Marta Range, Los Tuxtlas Biosphere Reserve, Veracruz. Litter and soil samples were taken in dry season (February and March 2005) in each land use and processed by Berlese-Tullgren funnels. Soil physical and chemical parameters were measured. A nested MANOVA was applied to evaluate land-use and site effect on edaphic parameters, and a nested ANOVA was use to evaluate their effect on the Collembola abundance. Also a Cluster Analysis and Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) were applied, as well Shannon diversity index was calculated. A total of 1,088 collembolans from seven families were gathered, with the most abundant being Isotomidae, Entomobryidae and Hypogastruridae. Nested MANOVA and ANOVA revealed significant effect of the site and land-use on the soil parameters and Collembola abundance, respectively. CA formed two main groups based mainly on sites and biotopes. The CCA, show that abundance of Onychiuridae and Odontellidae are related with altitude, Na and CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity). Diversity was higher in forest than corn crop and grassland. The corn crop showed a higher incidence of Isotomidae and Entomobryidae than the other sites.

Primary data collected from the students in a P.G\ndepartment at Chandigarh with the consent of the students. These records belong to idle\nmode, 2G-Rx mode, 2G-Tx mode. A total of six types of records are collected and analyzed.\nThe analysis is performed using segmentation of QRS complexes in the beats. Elman back\npropagation and Feed forward back propagation artificial neural works are used in this work\nto classify the data. Statistical parameters and wavelet coefficient are the features used for\ndata classification. A sensitivity of 92.60% and 94.56% is achieved using Elman back\npropagation and Feed forward back propagation network. Also a specificity of 97.99% and\n98.38% is achieved using the respective artificial neural networks. Accuracy of the order of\n97.10% and 97.74% has been achieved using Elman back propagation and Feed forward back\npropagation network. All the results are measured using fivefold cross validation. Feature\nselection for a classifier improves the classification results as shown in Table 9. s a result of the advancement of industries and technologies, the soil in Taiwan has suffered from serious heavy metal pollution at various levels caused by industrial waste substances and/or wastewater. The results show the addition of EDDS can effectively promote the heavy metal mobility, and increase the heavy metal absorption of plants; while the addition with GA3 can increase the biomass of plants and improve upward mobility of plants. Finally, the pot experiment indicates that adding EDDS and GA3 together can generate the best absorption efficacy in the soil containing Cu, Zn.\nThe pot experiment demonstrates the environmentally sustainable phytoremediation possesses optimal efficacy in remedying soil polluted by Cu, Zn, and the optimal method is adding EDDS and GA3 together. According to bacterial flora change result acquired from PCR and DGGE analysis, among the three groups, heavy metal+H20, heavy metal+GA3, and heavy metal+ EDDS+GA3, the last group has the richest bacterial flora. This demonstrates that when EDDS and GA3 are added together, the growth of microorganisms will be stimulated to create the richer development of bacterial flora.

The Chlorpyrifos-methyl belongs to the organophosphorus pesticides, widely used in agriculture and for domestic gardening in several European countries. Its toxic action is associated with the inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which controls the levels of acetylcholine. Acute pancreatitis and hyperamylasemia are both possible consequence to a severe intoxication by Chlorpyrifos-methyl, however few cases are reported in the literature and they reported intoxication by high dosage of pesticide. \nIn this case report, we suggest that even a slight dosage of pure Chlorpyrifos-methyl can cause pancreatic damage with the concrete risk of pump failure condition and multi-organs failure related to the processes of cytopathic hypoxia and of cellular oxidative stress. Finally, a prognostic role is proposed to the alpha-amylase, to evaluate the effectiveness of the pharmacological therapy.

Unfortunately, at any level of education, humane studies fall quite far from technical ones. The two fields even get farther from each other in the course of specialisation. However, in real life, multidisciplinary approach tends to gain more and more emphasis today. While the model curriculum of engineers contains 10% humane and economic studies (20 out of 210 ECTS), students in the faculty of liberal arts get no technical education during their 180 ECTS studies at all. The present article introduces the experiences of an innovative multidisciplinary course: ’Multimedia in Education’ as a subject for arts students. This article gives account on the curriculum, the educational experiences, as well as the opinion of the partaking students of the subject. A questionnaire was set up to measure students’ attitudes. Within the framework of the subject, the students acquire the technical approach to making a multimedia product at a basic level.

We have investigated the thermodynamic properties of the quaternary Heusler alloys PdRuZrGe, employing the full potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) plus local orbitals method based on the density functional theory (DFT), for the exchange–correlation effects we have adopted the generalized gradient approximation (GGA). The effect of temperature and pressure on unit cell volume (V), Bulk modulus (B), Debye temperature (θ_D), specific heat (CV) and thermal expansion coefficient (α) have been studied using Quasi-harmonic Debye model in a wide temperature range 0-1000 K and pressure range 0-160 GPa. Moreover, the high Debye temperature and high heat capacity obtained allow classifying our quaternary Heusler alloy PdRuZrGe, as hard material with the specificity of store the heat. Also the minimum entropy value obtained confirms that our material is highly ordered in comparison with other compounds.

One of the most important challenges in health management is nurses’ turnover. While studies indicated that Dual Career Ladder can reduce the specialist turnover by providing career promotion opportunities. In order to retain nurses, we decided to design Dual career ladder for nurses. Data in this developmental and qualitative research were collected in 2016 conducting semi-structured and in-depth qualitative interviews to reach theoretical saturation, and analyzed according to Grounded theory Method. Participants were 38 elite Iranian nurses in educational, managerial and clinical departments. Nurses in each group had to have specific criteria to enter the research. Our findings revealed the specialist and managerial nurses, specialist and managerial qualifications, and required specialist and managerial posts in Iranian nursing. Finally, the new model of nursing career was designed. This paper offers the DCL in Iranian nursing as a revolutionary. Future researches should examine this career model in pilot to assess its effect on turnover reduction, specialization, and career promotion in nursing. Moreover, researchers should consider local and national conditions in designing this model. The paper suggests implementing this career model to specialize nursing and retain these human capital based on necessary requirements.

Abstract: The aim of the article is a description and characteristics of typological, structural and acoustic requirements of rehearsal spaces for presenting rock and pop music. It includes initial requirements for the spaces, the suitability of their combination with other functions, or spaces, as well as their integration into the environment. It presents a case study, points to the problems in the acoustic design of a music rehearsal space in a music centre building.

Esta monografía trata de influencia de la deformación de las puntas sobre su vida útil total. Presenta la influencia de las propiedades del material, la tecnología de producción y la intensidad de carga de los electrodos de soldadura sobre la vida útlil de las mismas. Han sido evaluadas las puntas más usuales en la práctica (aleación de CuCr1Zr) de tres formas establecidas antes de soldadura por puntos por resistencia y después del proceso de soldadura. El proceso de soldadura por puntos por resistencia se realiza a parámetros de soldadura bajos, medios y altos en la máquina de soldadura por puntos pneumática programable VTS BPK 20. Se ha evaluado la influencia de los parámetros de soldadura por puntos sobre las seleccionas características materiales de los materiales de puntas de soldadura. Mediante la prueba de recalcado fue estudiada dependencia de la resistencia transformable y deformación del material en la tecnología utilizada en producción de puntas.
