Technology has shown capabilities in improving land uses planning. Still, defeating dilemmas of linking information of the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) with economic, social, and environmental city data in spatial representations. Some countries are aiming to transform from GIS to GeoBIM and recommending in-depth analysis for local industries. The importance of working intertangle within systems shall maximize the benefits for workers within the urban planning and AEC fields by aligning GIS and BIM applications to achieve the best practices established and allow technology adoption. Research aims to find the challenges and potentials of linking GeoBIM applications. Also, to develop a recommendation for land uses management with GeoBIM. Research methodology starts with an intensive literature review of GeoBIM benchmarking and land uses within Jeddah. Then integrate applications within Jeddah GIS and BIM to investigate change readiness. Lastly, analysis for Jeddah via GIS and BIM integrated model shall define the potential and berries of the GeoBIM connecting. Nevertheless, it highlights the spatial and attribute data benefit by covering the locations, data synchronization, interoperability, harmonization as the initial results shows the need to develop each feature to improve data integration.

The IoT Internet of Things being a promising technology of the future. It is expected to connect billions of devices. The increased communication number is expected to generate data mountain and the data security can be a threat. The devices in the architecture are fundamentally smaller in size and low powered. In general, classical encryption algorithms are computationally expensive and this due to their complexity and needs numerous rounds for encrypting, basically wasting the constrained energy of the gadgets. Less complex algorithm, though, may compromise the desired integrity. In this paper we apply a lightweight encryption algorithm named as Secure IoT (SIT) to a quantized speech image for Secure IoT. It is a 64-bit block cipher and requires 64-bit key to encrypt the data. This quantized speech image is constructed by first quantizing a speech signal and then splitting the quantized signal into frames. Then each of these frames is transposed for obtaining the different columns of this quantized speech image. Simulations result shows the algorithm provides substantial security in just five encryption rounds.

This paper presents a comparison of most capable families of distributions for modeling asymmetry. Kum-normal, stable-symmetric normal family and two of the full families were chosen, where the quality of the fit, flexibility and amount of asymmetry parameters were factors used for comparison. The objective of this study\nis to generate data with increasing levels of asymmetry and choose the best fit. The distributions were also compared in modeling two data sets of pollution of the drinking water in El-Sharkia governorate in Egypt. Much of this paper is concerned with distribution theory, exploring the properties of some new recent families of distributions and, where appropriate, extolling their virtues; relatively much of the paper is devoted to practical application.

The Measurement and analysis of radio waves propagation play significant part in the plan and function of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) application. In the article research line of light (LOS) was used in determining attenuation loss at various positions. In this work stone coaled Decra with a large thickness of 1.76mm has a high attenuation value of -77dB while aluminum with a low thickness of 0.37mm has a low attenuation value of -72dB. In the categories of ceiling pop sample with a non-uniform thickness has the highest attenuation value of -81dB while sample such as plywood with a thickness of 2.2mm has a low attenuation value of -77dB.

This paper aims to study the implications of behavioral biases in asset pricing models. The paper hypothesizes that sentiment and momentum are relevant risk factors in Pakistan equity market. The paper also examines the influence of sentiment and momentum factors on market risk, size, and value premiums. To carry out the empirical analysis, we use monthly stock returns for all non-financial firms listed at Pakistan Stock Exchange during the period 2000-2013. To examine whether investor sentiment and momentum factors affect market, size, and value premiums, the authors estimate the interacted model where they use interaction terms. The empirical analysis suggests both investor sentiment and momentum factors have significant impact on the required rate of returns. Specifically, we show that for both factors, the premium is positive and statistically significantly different from zero. Further, they observe that the inclusion of these two factors in the Fama and French three-factor model considerably increases the prediction power of the model. By estimating the interacted model, we find that both investor sentiment and momentum factors have significant impact on market risk, size, and value premiums. Although investor sentiment negatively affects all the three premiums, the effect of momentum is positive for both market risk premium and size premium, whereas, it is negative for value premium. The findings are helpful in explaining and understanding the effects of behavioral biases on stock returns. The findings of the indirect effects suggest that investor sentiment and momentum factors increase the chance of mispricing in Pakistan equity market.

This paper proposes the development of a technological platform for support of psycho-technical tests in higher education institutions. This subject deals with a topic extremely important for higher education institutions and their students, because the platform can be used internally to assist students in preparing them for the professional life. The application is web hosted and exclusively built using open source technologies. The platform registers the performance of students in several domains and allows students to practice and improve their skills. In this way, students may be better prepared for job interviews and, consequently, for the job market.

In the present investigation, concentration of trace elements (Cd, Ni, Zn and Cu) were studied in two aquatic plants A. donax and T. latifolia, sediment and water in Djendjen River (North Eastern Algeria). The concentrations of trace elements were lower in water than in the sediment. The distribution of trace elements in water and sediment follows: Ni>Zn>Cd>Cu and Zn>Ni>Cu>Cd, respectively. The water sample analysis from the Djendjen River shown that the total concentrations of Cu, Ni, Cd, and Zn were lower according to the references. In comparison, sediment mean metal concentrations with several environmental contamination parameters, such as : probable effect level (PEC) and background levels, indicates that the concentrations of all investigated elements are less than PEC except Ni, but high than the background levels. In studied plants, metal concentrations depending on plant organs and species. Overall, A. donax showed a lesser capacity of bioaccumulationas well as a lesser efficiency of metal removal than T. latifolia. In contaminated aquatic ecosystems, the presence of T. latifolia may increase the removal of heavy metals, thus, their introduction contributed to a possible actions of phytoremediation.

Success of the launch of a new product on the market is the progressive principle of production, or design, improved by efficiency or high quality of manufactured products. With the growing interest in biofuels - pellets or briquettes, is also growing interest in the new designed and more efficiently machines, that may produce classic (cylindrical or angular) or new shapes of pellets or briquets. Our department has for years dedicated to the development of new highly productive designs of pressing machines and new optimized shapes of biofuels. In this field of research, we have more than 40 national and international patents. The aim of paper is introduction of a new principle of the pelleting mill and description of its process of research, development, manufacturing and testing to deployment into production.

Path planning is required for an autonomous mobile robot to find an optimal trajectory to its destination. In this work, a new approach built upon the internet of things (IoT) has been proposed; computers are focused on path computation and robots on the execution. Hence, two different algorithms, Bug0 and Potential Field, are merged to create a hybrid approach using fixed cell decomposition for the environment and a map of this environment is created. Information is exchanged through the network (wireless local area network). The results outperform by far the classical implementations where robots were making every decision. Scalability is also achieved easily using the proposed topology.\nIn this paper, intelligent and robust software is written to automate every task, a simple input of the map will trigger the whole process, and the computer will compute an optimal trajectory then sends it to the robot for execution through the wireless medium. The path is preplanned and can be saved for further exploitation. The robot is also able to detect a change in the environment and report it to the computer to get a new path.

In the present study, Arundo donax L was used as a low-coast biosorbent for the uptake of basic dye crystal violet (CV) from aqueous media. Systematic batch mode studies of adsorption of crystal violet (CV) on Arundo donax were carried out as a function of process of parameters includes initial CV concentration, dose of adsorbent, pH, contact time and temperature. The equilibrium adsorption data were analyzed by Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin–Radushkevich (D-R) isotherm models. The adsorption of CV followed the Langmuir model with a maximum adsorption capacity (qmax) of 19.60 mg g-1 and pseudo second-order kinetics under a specified set of conditions. The thermodynamic parameters like free energy (?G°), enthalpy (?H°) and entropy (?S°) changes for the adsorption of CV ionshave been evaluated and it has been found that the reaction was spontaneous and exothermic in nature.\nOwing to its rapid adsorption rate and uptake capacity, stem of ArundodonaxL. seems to be a promising biosorbent for removal of toxic dyes from wastewater.

Plants are rich source of various medicines as they produce numerous bioactive molecules which might be an alternative source to antibiotics to cure antibiotic-resistant bacteria. In the current study, in vitro antibacterial potential of five medicinal plants such as Momordica charantia L. (bitter melon or bitter gourd), Syzygium cumini L. (jamun), Allium sativum L. (garlic) and Parthenium hysterophorus L. (carrot grass) were assessed by using different solvent extracts such as methanol, chloroform, ethanol, n-butanol, ethyl acetate, n-hexane and aqueous. These extracts were investigated against two gram-positive (Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus) and two gram-negative (Escherichia coli and Pasteurella multocida) bacteria by using agar well diffusion method. Rifampicin was used as standard antibiotic. Some of the fractions of the selected medicinal plants showed greater activity against some tested bacteria than the standard antibiotic used. Maximum activity against the Escherichia coli was shown by the methanolic extract of S. cumini as compare to Momordica charantia, A. sativum and Parthenium hysterophorus. It is suggested that these selected medicinal plants are potent to be used as pharmaceutical drugs but additional studies may be required to reveal more definite information about medicinal plants and their active components.

In order to evaluate the response of wheat cultivars to drought stress, ten wheat cultivars, in the germination and seedling growth stages, were studies based on morphological traits. Germination test was done in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Treatments consisted of ten cultivars of wheat and five osmotic potential levels (0, -2.5, -5, -7.5 and -10 times, respectively). Stress levels and cultivars were respectively considered as the main and secondary factors. In this study, stress was imposed on plants at the reproductive phase. The results showed that as osmotic potential increased in the germination tests, measured traits decreased, and this reduction was maximum in the potential changes from -5 to -7.5 in most traits. These traits were not affected by moderate levels of stress. Also Varamin, Pavan and 68DH had the highest number of rootlet and rootlet length among the studied cultivars and thus it can be stated that these figures have a greater ability to resist the drought.

János Bolyai wrote almost 200 years ago that he had created with his theory an „other, new world”. The general theory of relativity was presented by Albert Einstein more than 100 years ago. Their works are cited even today and inspire new works. In the period of 100 years between them the science got a big step forward, but it seems still remained open doors. Applying Bolyai’s hyperbolic geometry to Lorentz transformation - base of the special theory of relativity -, we get interesting relationship that does not rule out the hyperbolic Minkowski’s space-time. Moreover it arises the relationship between the Bolyai’s universal constant and the curvature scalar of general theory of relativity.

The merits of constructed wetlands are ecosystem protection, water quality enhancement, and wastewater treatment. Campus wastewater treatment effluent was studied in this research. Nutrients and organic matters has demonstrated effectively via sedmentation, microbio-degradation, and plant uptake. SS?COD?DO?NH4+?NO3-N were also researched. Total nitrogen, total phosphorus, ammonium nitrogen removal rate were 84.1?, 47.9?, and 84.6?, respectively. The microbial genetic monitoring results showed Salmonella spp. and Listeria monocytogenes were not existed in soil and sediment. Acrophytes harvesting and sediments dredging are the promising approaches to remove nutrients and organic matters in this studied constructed wetland.

This project is carried out to assess the remediation effect on soil contaminated by molybdenum (Mo), one of heavy metals, through the use of an energy crop, sunflowers. This project explores the integration of phytohormones and chelates in the phytoremediation of soils contaminated by heavy metals, and further assesses the operational measures of remedying heavy-metal contaminated soil with sunflowers, in addition to the related environmental factors. Then the project explores phytohormones and heavy metals on the growth scenario explants (explants morphological analysis) through the experiment. The results indicate that GA3 can increase the growth rate of the plants. The average incremental growth of the heavy-metal-added-only group is 21.0 cm; of the GA3-added group it is 21.9 cm; of the EDDS-added group, it is 20.3 cm; of the GA3+ EDDS-added group, it is 21.7 cm. Compared with the conventional methods of phytoremediation, these integrated measures can actually spur the growth of plants.
